Fly Me to the Moon, Snoop

Forty years ago this month, Buzz Aldrin was among the astronauts who landed on the moon. To commemorate that amazing event, Aldrin has released a hip-hop track. Yup, that's right: "Rocket Experience" features the musical/rap stylings of none other than Buzz Aldrin himself (Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, Talib Qweli and Quincy Jones helped produce the track).

While "Rocket Experience" is more novelty than bust-a-move, dance party single, it got us thinking that odd pairings can result in entertaining music (or at least some really weird videos).  Here's our recipe for music mash-ups of the Aldrin/Snoop variety:

Protein Synthesis Rap

Hi, I just want to say that I wrote this rap in memory of my friend, Daniel Sherman, who passed away recently. He had just turned 17. I'm more of a logical thinker—he was the creative one who was always writing raps. He inspired me to write this when I couldn't understand protein synthesis using traditional study methods. Thank you.
