Get ready. To squee.
My oldest friend in the world, Meg Allison, works for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). She's based in New Orleans, where she also volunteers at her local shelter, the Louisiana ASPCA. Meg's photos of shelter animals are beautiful, cute, sad, funny, and part of the reason I decided to adopt my dog Sparky from a shelter rather than get him from a breeder or pet store.
In this slideshow, Meg shares the stories of LA/SPCA rescue animals like this scruffy fella. If these pics tickle your <3strings, share this slideshow and help spread awareness! For the pups!
