How to Pass the Last Days of High School
Here at SparkNotes, we’ve been mining for rockstar Sparklers, real readers with enough imagination to save you from dying of boredom. The following submission is from Sparkler Anna Brod. Enjoy! -SparkNotes Editors
If you're a senior and still in school, chances are you're not sure why. With your days numbered, you may have noticed that your school day is on repeat. It's true, "senioritis" isn't even an accurate term for your lifestyle anymore. Here are a couple of things to keep you entertained instead of counting the dots in the ceiling tiles:
1. Try to find new conversation topics besides, "Why are we here?" and, "Do teachers even care if we show up?"(The answer to the second is NO.)
2. Take a lunch break outside. Enjoying a cold drink while laying out in the sun is a definite way to refresh yourself and spend a few minutes away from that flattering fluorescent lighting of the classroom. A few class periods of nothingness are a whole lot easier to tackle when you've just gotten back from sunning yourself.
3. Get those pesky "finals" out of the way. I know it sounds crazy, but if you've only got one or two real finals, take them early. That way you can relax as much as possible with out risking your college admission being revoked.
4. Set goals. Sure you can finish that last English book....OR you can try and reread the entire Harry Potter series before the next movie comes out.
5. Make new friends. It's never too late in the year to make friends....with your administration. They really love it when you stroll in after the late bell with breakfast in hand, so try flashing
them a nice smile and wave for an extra bonus.
What's your daily pastime of choice (besides getting a quality education, of course!)?
