The Masque of the Red Death

The Red Death came to Prince Prospero’s kingdom when he was sixteen and in two years it had exterminated half of the population, slaughtered his family, and destroyed his life. Now the only way Prospero can fight back is to retreat into the fortified abbeys, saving as many people as he can, while his scholars figure out a defense against the red-masked murderer. But not all is as it seems in the fantastical chambers of his castellated abbey.

Sometimes, the closest people can’t be trusted. And forced revelry can’t keep death away forever.
