The 7 Most Embarrassing Deaths in Literature, Ranked

Warner Bros.

Credit:

Sometimes, fictional deaths are cool because the character in question was a jerk and the way they died was karmically awesome. Other times, fictional deaths are heartbreaking because the character in question was Harry’s godfather who had just broken out of wizard prison after thirteen years behind bars only to spend his remaining days cooped up in Grimmauld Place and ALL HE EVER WANTED WAS TO PROTECT HARRY. (One day I’ll be over this, but today is not that day.)

Other fictional deaths are just embarrassing. These are those deaths, ranked from “it’s bad, but it’s not that bad” to “DEVASTATINGLY SHAMEFUL.”

In real life, she goes by the name Courtney Gorter. This is a closely guarded secret, and you're the only one who knows about it, so be cool. You can follow her on Twitter or check out her website if you want, but it's just going to be a lot of complaining.
