The 7 Most Hardcore Deaths in Literature

Fictional characters are always dying of boring things like shock, broken hearts, and long winters. That’s why it’s awesome when they die instead of things like SWORD FIGHTS and ZOMBIES and BEING A SYMBOL FOR SOMETHING GREATER.

That said, there are deaths in fiction that are cool, and then there are deaths in fiction that are straight-up hardcore. Here are just seven of those deaths. I’m sure I’m forgetting some good ones, but that’s what comment sections are for.
