7 Dirty Jokes You Didn't Catch in Shakespeare's Most Popular Plays

A Midsummer Night's Dream (Act 5, scene 1)

O kiss me through the hole of this vile wall!

I kiss the wall's hole, not your lips at all.

This little exchange takes place during a play being put on within the actual play. The actors are portraying Pyramus and Thisbe, two lovers who interact by whispering through a hole in the wall. The wall is being played by a third actor, which is why Thisbe doesn’t want to kiss the wall’s anything.
