How Fictional Characters Would Ask You to Prom Over Text

Focus Features/SparkNotes

As a general rule, you probably shouldn’t ask someone to prom over text. I’m not saying you have to make some big romantic gesture, but you should probably put a little bit of effort into the whole deal so you’re not just shooting them a “Prom? You and me? How about it?” text while you’re sitting on the toilet with your phone waiting for HQ trivia to start.

So yeah, texting your promposal? Not the greatest idea in the world. (Like, it’s not “attacking Russia in midwinter” bad, but it’s up there.) Nevertheless, people do it. And I have no doubt that the following fictional characters would be some of those people.
