Pick a Classic Novel and We'll Tell You What You Should Watch Next on Netflix

Barnes & Noble/Netflix

Like most people, I spend way too much time on my couch, up to my eyeballs in Doritos and yelling “WOULDN’T YOU LIKE TO KNOW” whenever Netflix has the gall to ask if I’m “still watching.”

I’m always on the hunt for a new show, especially when I’ve just made dinner and I’m scrolling through my queue looking for something to watch in a race against time. But what I really want—nay, what I need—is for someone to straight-up tell me what I would like. Not Netflix. Netflix doesn’t know me. Their “recommendations” are based upon but a shade of my personality, and they always tell me I would like Undercover Boss, which isn’t even a little bit true. (Okay, fine, so I’ve seen every episode, WHAT OF IT.)

I want someone to present me with options, lovingly curated to suit my personal tastes. I think we all want that. And since a person’s favorite classic novel says a lot about them (also because this is SparkNotes, this is what we do), we’ll be using that as a baseline and going from there. Ready? Go!

1. Go ahead and pick a book.

About the Author
Elodie

In real life, she goes by the name Courtney Gorter. This is a closely guarded secret, and you're the only one who knows about it, so be cool. You can follow her on Twitter or check out her website if you want, but it's just going to be a lot of complaining.
