5 Iconic Fictional Romances (That Probably Won't Last)

Disney

Belle and the Prince from 'Beauty and the Beast'

Where to even begin with this? The Beast hits just about every relationship red flag throughout the course of the original French fairy tale: he's cruel to those who are less fortunate than him, he isolates Belle from her friends and family, and he buys her affection with jewelry to make up for his terrible behavior.

You could argue that the Beast changed his ways, but how much changing did he really do? He was still exhibiting these behaviors right up until he transformed back into the Prince. He held you hostage, Belle; that’s not going to go away just because he’s hot now. Belle's a smart girl. It's only a matter of time before she leaves and takes half the library with her.
