5 Iconic Fictional Romances (That Probably Won't Last)

Warner Bros.

Sometimes a romance is doomed to fail and everyone knows it. I have a friend who is seeing a guy who says “cold slaw” instead of “coleslaw,” so you just know that relationship is going nowhere.

A break-up can happen anywhere, at any time—even after the happy ending that’s so prevalent in books. The writers want you to believe it’ll be smooth sailing from here on out, but the truth is these perfect romances in fiction are just about as doomed as my New Year’s resolution to stop eating sugar. So with that in mind, let’s discuss fictional romances that wouldn’t last five minutes beyond the final page.

Topics: Books
Tags: harry potter, shakespeare, books we love, the great gatsby, jane eyre, the odyssey, jk rowling, characters we love, beauty and the beast, much ado about nothing, hp, literary romance, fictional romances, love conquers all (or does it?)
