6 Hilariously Problematic Moments in Shakespeare's Plays

6. Joan of Arc summons some demons in Henry VI, Part 1

Now, we all know that Shakespeare is not the most reliable dude if you are looking for historical accuracy. But I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this definitely, 300% for sure never happened. Towards the end of a battle, Joan of Arc realizes she is losing. So she...summons some demons? The "fiends" show up, but they won't talk to her, even though she apparently feeds them with her blood (wtf) and even offers to chop off a finger for them. So THAT'S why she loses the battle. Duh.

Do you have a fave ridiculous Shakespeare moment?
