Group projects get a bad rap for being "awful" and "every student’s waking nightmare" and "the worst things human beings can do to each other, academically speaking." Most people, myself included, would rather swallow fire than have to suffer through one for even a second.

But the one thing you can say for group projects is that they show you who you really are. Sometimes you are your best self, rising to the occasion. Other times, attempting to finagle a halfway decent PowerPoint out of three other people—well, it brings out the worst in you.
