The Gender-Bending Portraits of JJ Levine

By Becky Ferreira Apr 10, 2014

1 of 7

Have you ever wondered what your life would have been like if you were a different gender? JJ Levine's portrait series, "Alone Time," is a poignant riff on this question. Each portrait is a delicately constructed tableau in which one person models both genders. It's interesting to note not only the difference in makeup and clothing, but also in body language of the male and female versions. Check out the series in the slideshow, and tell us what you think your portrait would look like in the comments. You can find more of Levine's thought-provoking work on his Facebook page.
