Check Out These Gorgeous Trans Teens In the New Barneys Campaign

The skinny: Barneys New York is launching a brand new campaign for its Spring 2014 collections called "Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughters." At first glance, it doesn't look like anything different from the norm—there's the usual gamut of beautiful people wearing spectacular high-fashion clothes—but here's the twist: Every one of the 17 featured models is transgender.

The campaign was shot by high-fashion photographer Bruce Weber, and its participants look amazing, needless to say. (The hats! OMG, THE HATS.) But in addition to putting a diverse and distinctive face on the Spring collection, each model also sat down with an interviewer to share his or her unique challenges, triumphs, and experiences as a trans person, helping to raise awareness about the struggles that transgender teens face every day.

It's hard to choose a favorite, but we especially love Katie Hill and Arin Andrews from Oklahoma, who met at a support group while they were transitioning, and who relied on each other's strength and friendship to become role models for other transgender kids. Also, they're really cute. (True story: They used to be a couple, but alas, they are now just pals. Sigh. But maybe they'll make like Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult and get back together sometime.) You can meet them and hear their stories in the video below, and check out biographies of all the models on The Window.

What do you think of this new campaign?
