Most of us have a pretty straightforward idea of what an artist's process looks like: a dude or woman person hanging out with a canvas and palette, decked out with a beret and a fancy mustache (yup, even the ladies...Frida Kahlo, for example, wore her mustache on her forehead). But the artists we're featuring in this slideshow are way out in left field when it comes to their materials. Whether it's garbage, food, hubcaps, or Lego bricks, these talented creators have found inspiration in some crazy places.
