You Could Win a $1000 Scholarship Just by Writing ONE SENTENCE.

By Chelsea Dagger

Yes Sparklers, you read that RIDICULOUSLY GLORIOUS title correctly; thanks to our magnanimous pals at the wonderful DoSomething.org, YOU have the chance to win big-time scholarship monies simply by doing something you're already great at: WRITING.

INTRIGUED? We thought you might be. So here are the deets: just go to www.DoSomething.org/sparknotes to register, and then enter your 140-character statement about the following:

Tell us about the ONE cause you believe is (or should be) most important to your generation—whether it's education, environmentalism, health/fighting obesity, preventing bullying, securing human rights for all, finding a solution to homelessness, etc—and explain the ONE way you believe teens can and should support that cause.

Sure, it's a tall order to fit all that into 140 characters, but then again, you are geniuses, and the prize is 1000 buckos in scholarship funds. Put simply: we know you can do it, and it's definitely worth your while to try.

If you need some inspiration, check out all the great causes that DoSomething supports, and then get writin'! Remember, in order to be eligible for the scholarship, you've got to register HERE. But once you've submitted your sentence to the DoSomething site, we'd love it if you posted it in the comments so we could check it out too! We know you guys are going to come up with some absolutely brilliant, inspirational stuff, and we can't wait to read it!

Which cause are you going to write about?
