Can beautiful actresses (or beautiful women in general) be funny? According to reporter Nikki Finke, the answer is no. In fact, in her live-blog of the Emmy's last night, she said, "Listen-up, Hollywood: Beautiful actresses are not funny. They don’t know how to do comedy."
Why does Finke say this? According to her, women who are naturally good-looking haven't gone through enough humiliation to understand how to make people laugh...which sounds kind of...strange? After all, it's not like the only thing girls get teased for is being ugly—being nerdy or weird can get you just as many embarrassing moments as not looking like a model. And while beautiful actresses aren't always the funniest bunch, we can think of a couple hilarious knockouts—Emma Stone, our resident girl-crush, is one gorgeous lady, and she never fails to make us laugh.
