WE'RE WRITING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE WE'RE JUST THAT EXCITED. We've been waiting for a Finding Nemo sequel ever since the movie first came out in 2003. Yes, 2003. When we watched and re-watched this movie with our grubby little 6th grader hands covered in popcorn kernels and melted chocolate.
So, after years and years of wondering if we'd ever see Dory, Marlin, and Nemo on the big screen again, and the total let-down of the trailer for Finding Nemo's re-release in 3D (seriously, how cruel was that?), it's been almost entirely confirmed that a sequel is in the works.
See, everyone seems to be confused about whether Disney/Pixar has confirmed the sequel, but director Andrew Stanton thinks it's happening, and release dates are planned for 2016 or so. But since the first film was highly successful and Stanton "has a concept the studio loves," it appears to be only a matter of time before we see Nemo again.
Are you as psyched as we are about this?!!!!
