Q: Did you have to wear a leotard in ballet classes?

A: Fortunately not, I always protested. I've always been kind of championing males rights in dance (laughs). I'd always show up not wearing the dress code. I was lucky I had really good leverage, because the hip-hop team did really well when I joined. Competitions love having guy dancers. I'd be like, "You guys can let me wear what I want, OR I wont stay on the team." I was kind of a stinker. But they were really nice about it (laughs).
