Geeky Stuff to Read and Watch

By Emily Winter

Hola, Stinkertons. Welcome to MindHut 101, DON'T GET UP. SIT DOWN. THIS CLASS IS MANDATORY. You in the back, stop picking your nose. What do you think this is, your momma's cocktail party? YOU CANNOT GRADUATE WITH A DEGREE IN AWESOMENESS WITHOUT KNOWING THE FOLLOWING STUFF.

Ehem. What we mean is, our new site The MindHut is now more than a month old. Like a baby lemur, it's hairless and has settled into an adorable routine. We thought we'd take this opportunity to familiarize you with our amazing MindHut series so you can go forth, enjoy, and spread the MindHut love like spreadable, chunky love butter. HERE'S WHAT YOU BEEN A'MISSIN':

Morning Announcements: A disillusioned principal (the wonderful Josh Perilo) films the morning video announcements at a fictional high school. TRUST US, YOU WILL LAUGH.

Comics You Should Be Reading: After graduating from college, writer Eric Garneau bought a comic book shop in Indiana. The dude is an EXPERT on comics, and created this series for COMIC N00BS who don't even know where to start.

Reid Faylor Has a Girlfriend: OR DOES HE?! Seriously, this series is the funniest thing we ever read. Ask artist and standup comedian Reid Faylor about his girlfriend. Go on, we dare ya.

Dating with Science: Everyone's FAVORITE and ONLY male advice-giver Jon Skindzier translates science studies—then tells you how to use the findings to MAKE PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU. He deserves a Nobel Prize, we think.

Comics Catch: Love comics so hard? Then you NEED to be reading this. Every Wednesday, Eric Garneau hits the comic book shop when doors open to review the week's new issues.

Blogging WoW: We forced our intern Jenny to play World of Warcraft and blog about it. Mostly for our own enjoyment (n00bs are so cute and clueless). We thought we'd do you a favor and letcha watch her SUFFER, too. :D

Bad Fanfic Comics: WE TOLD YOU REID FAYLOR WAS AN ARTIST. Here, he puts himself in his favorite stories. And ruins everything.

iPhone Game of the Week: Need better apps? Samantha Charlip can help. Read her weekly review of new games!

Cheapskate Reviewer: Teen genius Scott Free reviews iTunes FREE weekly giveaway tracks. And he links to them! Get free music, ya maniac!

Graphic Detail: An in-depth look at a new graphic novel. Every Thursday. Nerds only, please.

What's your favorite MindHut series?
