JakeAndAmirFTWolf won us over with his username, his cavalier use of the word "butt," and, of course, his hilarious post. But we're going to leave this one up to you: let us know in the comments if you'd like to see more from him!—Sparkitors
WHATUP, butts, Sparklers, Manklers, Sploggers, and Sparkitors? (And Gary, who I know is still lurking around here somewhere.) JakeAndAmirFTWolf, master of memes, here to show you guys why I should have my own Mankler NBK series, woot woot! What, the sound effects weren't good enough? I actually have to tell some sort of story to get into your good graces? Geez, you guys are a tough group to impress. Well, then, let’s get down to business…(You finished that with “to defeat the huns,” didn’t you? Inception!)
A little bit of background to start off: I’m a freshman in college here in the middle of Iowa. High school…well, I didn’t get into any awesome hijinks like Elodie, so I’d most likely be boring you if I went into details about the past four years. But don’t worry, there’s more than enough going on at present.
Case in point: my first chance at BK, which happened a few weeks ago. So, it’s your typical college party—dancing, flirting, obnoxiously loud music, etc—and I’m dancing with this girl. (We'd just met, so forgive me for not knowing her name.) Unlike 99% of the people there, we actually were dancing face to face, as opposed to grinding. (Yes, that would make me the 1%. See what I did there?) So, we started dancing with some significant space between us, but gradually we, you know, closed the gap.
We’re dancing to the music and talking about our costumes (it was a Halloween-esque party) and it hits me that we’ve already been dancing like this for several minutes, and our faces are like an inch or two apart, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll break the NBK bubble–and then the song stopped, she took a quick break to get some fresh air, and my friends dragged me away to go some place else. And that was it, a shot at BK that went nowhere. Didn’t go back, didn’t get her name, didn’t see her again. Oh well.
But fear not, Sparkbutts. I have other chances at being BK, and with girls whose names I know! First off, there's...well, let’s call her Eowyn, because Lord of the Rings is awesome. We met early on in the year, through a mutual friend I'll call Chris, but didn’t see each other too often after that (different dorms and no classes together will do that.) I ran into her at a party and we talked for a bit, then hung out in her room for a couple hours with some of her friends. I mentioned this movie I wanted to see, and she was pretty excited to see it too. Next thing you know, the two of us and two more of our friends decide to see it the next week. But then the chaotic nature of college schedules kicked in, and we all had something else going on. We planned to see it the next weekend, but the same problem arose. Still, we’ve got one or two more shots at making it happen, and we’re going for it, hopefully.
But here's a question: two guys+two girls+movie doesn’t necessarily = date, right? It wasn’t what I was thinking when I brought it up, but if that’s the way it turns out, it’s a win-win—at least for me. But I'm not sure how Eowyn feels about the whole thing. See, there was a class study session scheduled for one of the times we were going to see the movie, so I said I couldn’t make it. Chris kept teasing me about it, then told Eowyn that our "hot date" was messing up the class schedule. She got really flustered and punched him in the shoulder. What do you guys make of that? Seriously, I need some girl input here.
Anyway, there are a few other ladies I’m interested in, but right now, my main focus is Eowyn. (Plus, I can only come up with so many fake names at once!) Double doughnut points to anyone who asks me a question or gives me some advice!
So, whaddaya think? Want to hear more of FTWolf's quest to be kissed? And do you have any insight for him about the Eowyn situation?
