readergrl96 knows you're homeschooling prejudiced, and wants to remind you that taking class mere yards from your bed has some hardcore benefits. –Sparkitors
My name is readergrl96, and I'm a homeschooler. Wait! Don't run away! I'm not scary, honest! While the thought of associating with, or, horror of horrors, BEING a homeschooler might make you cringe, I'm going to explain why it's really not that bad.
1. You get to make your own schedule.
So if you don't feel like doing that huge paper that's due tomorrow right now, YOU DON'T HAVE TO!!! You' re even able to decide whether you want to take your chemistry class before, after, or even during lunch!
2. You get a full night's rest! (Most of the time.)
Ahh, yes. The classic argument for homeschooling. You can wake up at 6 a.m., or you can wake up at noon. As long as you get your work done, it doesn't matter.
3. Lunch!
Since you're already at home, you've got the run of the kitchen at lunchtime. Five-course meal at 1 p.m.? Don't mind if I do! Oh, and what are you eating for lunch today? Pizza that is clearly 90% waxed paper? A bag lunch of soggy bologna sandwich and tortilla chips? No thanks, I'll stick with my hot and tasty chicken sandwich, fresh salad, and nice tall glass of iced tea.
4. You have no idea what grade you're in.
*sigh* This might not be a pro, but still. It's always funny when you try to figure out what grade you're in. I always say I'm a Junphmore.
5. College.
Even though I'm only a Junphmore, I'm already looking forward to college. In fact, most Ivy League colleges prefer homeschoolers! (I actually have no idea if this is true, but it seems right.)
6. College part two.
Since homeschoolers have no set times for classes, you can do dual enrollment at a community college! The classes you take can count for both high school AND college credits, depending on the school. My plan is to take two more years of classes at a community college, two at a four-year college to get my bachelor's, another one to two years to get a master's, and then USE THE REST OF MY YEARS TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD. MUWAHAHAHA!!!!
Are you tempted? Are you homeschooled already and nodding in agreement?
