Why You Should Take Up Running

zara95 has us totally convinced we should take up running (but only for the brownies). —Sparkitors

Imagine this: your heart is beating so hard it’s going to pop out of your chest, you can’t breathe, and your legs are hurting so bad you feel like they’re on a mission to kill you. That’s how I feel when I run. And I love every moment of it. Don't let my description scare you, because I definitely feel like all of you Sparklers should take up running. Here’s why it’s filled with pure awesomeness:

  1. It makes you thin. Yay! Running is as great for your figure as eating a chocolate-brownie with chocolate sauce and sprinkles is for your mood. Plus, you can be guilt-free when you eat that brownie, because you know you won’t end up looking like Santa Clause.
  2. You get medals! Running is one of the few sports you get medals for. If you win other stuff, you’ll probably get a certificate or a trophy or something useless and boring like that. But if you win a race, you can get a GOLD MEDAL. So what if it’s fake? It’s still nice and shiny. Plus, you get to stand on the victory stand and feel really tall.
  3. Crossing the finishing line rocks. Remember how I told you that your heart, lungs, and legs just don’t seem to cooperate when you run? Well, the good news is all of that stops as soon as you cross the finishing line. Then you feel like you’re on top of the world... or at least at the end of the race. It’s even more fun if you break the dental floss line (i.e. come first).
  4. Glucose powder. You know that yummy stuff that comes in packets in different flavours? I don’t know what it’s called in different countries, but trust me: it’s the sweetest, messiest, best thing on earth. Plus, it gives you loads of energy. If you’re a runner, you can eat as much of it as you like before a race. Take my word for it, it’s even better than the chocolate brownie I mentioned earlier. Well, maybe it’s just as good...

Besides all this, there’s also the fact that runners love running, even if they feel like it’s killing them. (Relax, running’s not going to kill you.) Sparklers should definitely take up running, because Sparklers are awesome and running is awesome, and therefore they would make a perfect pair!

Whose got a good running story?
