Good afternoon, fellow Sparkler students, and welcome to another bright, beautiful day here at SparkLife Academy! Here are some upcoming events to keep an eye out for as the week goes on:

Our first annual HOMECOMING DANCE! The theme is Hollywood Classics, inspired by the glamor and glitz of Old Hollywood, back when girls painted their lips red and boys wore cummerbunds....*sigh* It promises to be an unforgettable night! Our very own Dan B. has agreed to be the DJ, so look forward to original songs including "Super Snape" "Jab Poof Slide" "Never Say Sometimes" "Ginny Shuffle" and the highly anticipated "Party Rock Anthem Emmett Remix 7.Stilt Swords." And don't forget to vote for Homecoming King, Queen, Prince, and Princess—voting closes soon! Girls, not sure what to wear? Consult Mrs. Rosenfield!

FRESHMEN ORIENTATION: Auntie Sparknotes is hosting our freshmen orientation this year, and she will answer your every burning question, such as:
"Where is the cafeteria?"
"How can I make friends?"
"Where's my locker?!"
"Why does Ms. Dagger sweat so much?"

OPEN THREAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Anyone interested in joining SparkLife's Open Thread community, listen up! We can be found at the Northern Quad between the Trader Joe's vending machine and the Darren Criss Amphitheater. Watch out for poison darts. Beginning/Intermediate Ninja class gathers right next to us.

FALL MUSICAL ANNOUNCED! Since we have such a wide variety of Sparklers and talent, Intern Extraordinaire Jennifer Grudzieki has decided to present three musicals this year! Help her narrow down her top three choices from the list below:
1. Spring Awakening
2. Ragtime
3. Footloose
4. A Very Potter Musical
5. Rodgers and Hammersteins Cinderella
6. Into The Woods
7. FAME
