The Triumphant Return of Stock Photo Face-Off

It has been a while since we've felt inspired to host a Stock Photo Face-Off. Frankly, our well was running dry. It seemed all of the stock photographers out there had caught wind of our little contest and retreated to their darkrooms to ask themselves, head in hands, "What is the purpose of a stock photograph? When am I pushing the artistic envelope, and when am I just freaking people the fark out? Who would need a photo of a girl just out of the shower with an octopus on her head?"

Then they came out from their darkrooms, wondered why they still have darkrooms when everything's digital now, said, "why ask why?" and went back to creating whacked out photos like these:

Forks over knives, you say! Forks over knives! What about ladles?!?!?

"Speculative being" is one of the keywords for this image on iStock. We dare you to offer him a penny for his thoughts.

And some people said this May-December romance wouldn't last. What does Tony Bagels know about relationships anyway?
