How could we not publish Mystery Puncher's post with a title like this. —Sparkitors
SMALL BOOBS—I have them. Most 16-year-olds are bigger than a 34A, but that's where I've been since 7th grade.
Back then I'd say I was average, but as everybody grew and my front-humps did not, I ended up the butt of some light-hearted jokes. At first the teasing really hurt. I was very self-conscious about my less-than-curvy chest in 8th and 9th grade. But around the time sophomore year started, I realized that I didn't really care. Now that I'm going in to my third year of high school, I've decided that my lovely lady lumps really are pretty dang fabulous. (Yes, that was a Fergie reference.) Here's why:
1. They don't get in the way. My boobs have never even come close to whacking me, which I know happens to some of you larger-chested ladies! I can run and jump down the stairs without worrying about them bouncing, and the chances of people accidentally elbowing them is significantly reduced. It's like having convenient, travel-sized chesticles!
2. I can get away with more clothes! You know the flowy shirts that are super popular right now? While they are pretty easy to pull off no matter what your bra size is, I'm here to testify that they look even better without a giant hill interrupting their relaxed style and reducing drape. And my sister's shirts are evidence that sometimes bigger boobs can stretch out clothing—not something I ever worry about! Plus, lower shirts aren't a problem. I don't have any cleavage to worry about flashing. (Frankly, my boobs would have to work harder than an APUSH student to pop out of my shirt.)
3. Cheap bras aren't a bad thing! Who wants to pay $40 for a super-fancy bra when you COULD use that money at the upcoming Death Cab for Cutie concert? Smaller breasts mean cheap, $10 boob-helmets work just as well. You don't even feel as guilty for throwing one away when it'd old and sad!
Do you love your boobs?
