You really might be onto something here, Gracie S.—Sparkitors
I'll just say it: I’ve been having relationship problems. And at these times, when my heart feels like it’s sinking in a pit of sorrow and grief, only one thing in this crazy, messed-up world can help me regain my dignity, sanity, and love for all things good and righteous. This magical and mysterious solution, my dear Sparklers, is shoes. Only recently though have I come to realize how similar shoes are to boys, and how boys are meaningless compared to the beauty and class of those glorious pumps on sale at the mall.
Shoes are like boys in many ways (but without all the hassle). Here are a few similarities between the two:
1. Shoes come in endless shapes, sizes and colors. You may have a preference for those tall, beige pumps, or possibly for something shorter or chunkier.
2. Shoes can hurt your sole—and boys can too (but they hurt the one that's not on your foot).
3. Hot shoes can give you confidence to take on the world, and so can a hot boy.
4. Sometimes you have to throw out the old raggedy pair to make room for the new, beautiful Italian one you just ordered.
5. If you don’t take care of them, they can become damaged and smelly.
6. The tall, gorgeous ones hurt you the most.
7. You really don’t need thirty-seven pairs (like me), but it’s nice to have them around.
8. You can become highly distressed when you lose that one special pair.
9. You sometimes need to take an over-used pair to the repair shop.
10. And finally, you always want to take a ride on the wild side with those crazy cheetah print patterns and 6 -inch heels, but in the end you’ll slip on a nice pair of comfortable Uggs or Converse and realize that was all you ever really needed.
What do you think: are boys like shoes? Do you go for comfy or crazy-hot?
