Eight Reasons Why England Is Totally Spiffing!

England! It rocks! Here's why:

1. Afternoon Tea. Yes, we stop whatever we're doing at 4 PM in order to bust out our dainty white gloves, top hats, and coattails to sit around a knee-high table eating cakes and crumpets. Delish!

2. Our unpredictable weather. Is it going to rain? Snow? Sun?! We have sun?! We love not knowing; the element of surprise keeps our lives interesting. AND It’s the only topic that you can talk about to complete strangers.

3. The Underground. The tube can take you ANYWHERE! As long as you don’t mind having sweaty armpits and coffee breath surrounding you at 9 AM and 5:30 PM, then this is the form of transport for you.

4. Chavs. Sure, they give England a bad name, but this stereotype is really hilarious if you ask me! Fake gold chains, fake Burberry scarves and hats, fake designer tracksuits; most definitely real in England!

5. Accents. If you ask anyone from England if they have an accent, we would scoff at you and say no!  But just to appease all you Sparklers, I’ve put this in because I know you love the English accent.

6. Football. Real football, not soccer! This sport has the biggest following ever. Go into a pub during any match and you will be deafened by “FOUL!” “The Ref is blind!” And “OFFSIDE!” Personally, I love screaming “OFFSIDE” when the ball is nowhere near the goal, just to irritate everyone. Oh and always support ARSENAL!

7. The Monarchy. "God Save Our Queen" is the national anthem. April 29, 2011 is the Royal Wedding (we get the whole day off!). Sure some people say that the Royal Family is just a tourist attraction, but I love all things Royal, and it makes me proud to be British!

8. HARRY POTTER! Enough said!
