Hold onto your hats and fasten your belt buckles, Sparklers: you've just won an all-expenses-paid 13-day trip to GREECE!
Okay, that was a lie. But I get to go to Greece, and I'm going to be blogging every step of the way, so you'll feel as if you're there with me! Except that you'll be saving tons of money on airfare and sitting in front of a warm, toasty fireplace while I brave 57 degree temperatures and tourist traps.
Before the adventure begins, let me introduce you to your travel companions. First up, we've got me: your narrator extraordinaire, lover of all things mythological and salty (Greece fits right in). Then we've got my two sisters: my little sister, who's 13, and my older sister, who's 19 and taking a break from college to travel with us. Both of them are HI-larious, but I don't know if I'll be able to handle all the awesomesauce sister bonding that's about to occur. Then there's my 9-year-old brother, a constant whirlwind of noise and activity—he's a little on the crazy side, but who could help but love him? Then, of course, we have my parents. My dad is the real travel expert in the family; he's our travel-savvy comedian and knows where to find all the best deals, meals, and wheels (yes, it took me five minutes to come up with those rhymes. Stop looking at me like that!) Finally we have my mother. She's an artist, adores the beach the way some people adore chocolate or puppies, and is a worry-wart—but she's a mom, so it's to be expected.
During the trip we'll be visiting a places all over the country, so I've drawn you a handy little map to use as a reference point. Go ahead, feast your eyes upon this.. um.. feast of accurate mapness.
Well regardless of the quality, it's still a map—and I can't wait to start exploring all the places on it! So sit back, relax, and be thankful you're a Sparkler; while your friends are furiously shopping for Christmas gifts, you'll be gloating over the fact that you've already finished your shopping thanks to SparkLife's handy guides. Iinstead of sweating it out in Target, you'll be tucked away in your snuggie, taking a virtual trip around Greece!
We're so excited for this pretend vacation that we already packed our imaginary suitcases!
