Homecoming Week At SparkNotes Academy

Almost every public school has a Homecoming Week, and SparkNotes Academy is no exception. Read on for all the details on this week's incredible (and imaginary) events!

Monday: Dan Day. On Dan Day, everyone wears something to related to Dan Bergstein. For example, you could cover yourself in string and red puffballs (summertime spaghetti), or wear a jetpack, or go around covered in Dan Bags, or dress yourself up to look exactly like THIS.

Tuesday: Indie Bands Day. On Indie Bands Day, everyone will represent his or her favorite indie band. For example, if you love The Submarines, then rock a yellow t-shirt. If your band of choice is Lavender Diamond, then wear something purple and painfully shiny. If you've chosen to rep N'SYNC, you—well, you might want to rethink that decision.

Wednesday: Sparkitors Day. It's exactly what it sounds like—make yourself over to resemble your favorite Sparkitor! Douse yourself in water and wear a "Dagger" name tag. Put on a pair of glasses and ta-da— you're Miss Marm!

Thursday: Cuteness/Awesomeness Day. You must simply dress adorably or wear something mind-blowingly amazing and awesome. So, like, be a bunny rabbit, or a bunny rabbit with a laser cannon.

Friday: Spirit Day. Wear the colors of Sparklife Academy (purple, turquoise, and silver) and WEAR THEM WITH PRIDE.

And finally, the homecoming game. Since an awful lot of Sparklers are in marching band (myself included), we can cut out the football game itself and make the whole night one grand marching exhibition. Trumpets will shine! Clarinets will glimmer! Saxophones will glow! It will be a glorious night to celebrate music and universal geekery.

Now, what about the homecoming dance? We still need to pick a theme. My suggestions are:
- Ninjas and Pirates
- World Domination
- Classic Literature (and Pirate-y World Domination)
- Harry Potter
