Awesome Thing of the Week

Awesome Thing of the Week

By Chelsea Dagger

Apparently, we were a little late on the uptake with Potter Puppet Pals, as we only just discovered their existence LAST WEEK. So we apologize for the gross oversight we committed when failing to post The Mysterious Ticking Noise; we were just so intrigued by the title "Ron's Disease" (is it Ebola?? The Avian Flu?? Necrophilia??) that we couldn't possibly pass up the video. You were slightly distraught/disgusted/overcome with horror at our choice, but you still managed to rally and give the clip an admirable 8.03 on the Scale of Awesomeness. This generous score inflated our hearts like tiny balloons, and also made us extremely suspicious: there were so many complaints in the  comments that we'd been expecting something dismal, like a 2.87. Our paranoia inspired us to do a bit of research, and after some quick math (it took 9 people and 4 calculators a total of 3 days to come up with the following information), we realized something: you've rated the last 8 videos an average of 7.73!  And that, Sparklers, is INCREDIBLE. We spend loads of time fretting about which video to post every week, so it's wonderfully reassuring to know that despite our occasional disagreements (a 5.6 for the Cupcake Cannon?! COME ON), we're all basically on the same page, and that page has one word on it, and that word is AWESOME.

Right. Now that we've nattered on senselessly, let's get to the good stuff: this week's Awesome Thing. Once again, we're a little slow to jump on the band wagon (apparently this video went viral two years ago), but since most of you weren't even a sparkle in your parents' eyes back then (eh, so maybe our calculations are a little off), we're going to run with it. And we think you'll forgive us for being outdated: his clip is not only heartwarmingly ADORABLE, it's also got the best soundtrack we've ever, ever heard. CHECK IT:
