Following in Runxbabyxrun‘s footsteps, I compiled a list of the BEST songs for heartbroken teens. Please note: I usually listen to the stuff that makes me cry, but I figured I’d try something more constructive, so here goes!

Song: So What
Artist: P!nk
This song wins the gold in the category of "Raddest Tune For Getting Over Somebody." Granted, Pink's strategies of fighting and drinking probably won't improve your situation, but her message—that she won't be defeated by a bad relationship—is awesome, and so are the rockin’ beat and fun tune. This song reminds you to move on and take care of yourself; it’s fast, upbeat, and the perfect pick-me-up whenever you're feeling down!

Song: I Can Do Better
Artist: Avril Lavigne
This inspirational tune reminds us of that despite the pain of a broken heart, you can still flaunt your independence. Every time I hear Avril tell her guy he's not worth it, I want to cheer!

Song: Monkey Wrench
Artist: Foo Fighters
This band rocks the house! I have NO idea what’s going on for most of the song, but I do understand that it revolves around the singer's anger about a girl.  He defies her with pride, and the uplifting spirit of the song conquers all my sadness and negativity!

Song: Since U Been Gone
Artist: Kelly Clarkson
This song proclaims Kelly's happiness at her newfound independence, and proves to teens that we CAN stand on our own.  The confidence is simply refreshing!

Song: Crash and Burn
Artist: Savage Garden
This is a great reminder that even if your SO leaves, your friends are still there for you! You don’t have to slobber over buckets and buckets of Double Chocolate ice cream alone (though that sometimes helps); you can talk to your loved ones, who'll always support you!
