It's Char-aoke Time!

It's Char-aoke Time!

Earlier this week we explored some scentsational possibilities for your favorite literary characters' fictional fragrances. So now we know how they'd smell. But, more importantly, what songs would they sing if we got them into a karaoke bar?

Winston Smith, 1984. "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell. (This guy could have been the next Michael Jackson, you guys.)

Margaret, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. "Changes" by David Bowie. Alternatively, "Changes" by Tupac.

Huck Finn, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. "Proud Mary" by the Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Hester Prynne, The Scarlet Letter. "Milkshake" by Kelis. (She could teach you, but you'd have to wear a big, red A on your chest.)

Arthur Dimmesdale, The Scarlet Letter. "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.

Daisy, The Great Gatsby. "Money" by The Flying Lizards.

Heathcliff, Wuthering Heights. "I Can't Live (If Living Is Without You)" by Mariah Carey (gratuitous Lolcat link) AND "Bad" by Michael Jackson. (You know Heathcliff is the kind of dishwad that would get up twice before you got to go once.)

Elizabeth Bennett & Mr. Darcy (duet), Pride & Prejudice. "Islands in the Stream" by Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers. Am I seeing an opening for Duets 2?

Bella Swan, Twilight. "Love Is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar. Twilight would be so much cooler with a synthesizer backbeat, by the way.

Jacob Black, Twilight. "Who Let the Dogs Out" by the Baha Men (gratuitous Jacob Black link).

Edward Cullen, Twilight. "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias.

Oliver Twist, Oliver Twist. "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.

Harry Potter, duh. "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly.

What songs would you like to see your favorite literary character sing?
