My Crush Is an Anime Girl

We can't actually tell if LightHitter94 is a guy or a girl by this post. Sure it's totally normal for a guy to love these characters, but we also see the potential for a monster Girl Crush. In either case, thanks for sharing, LightHitter94! —SparkNotes editors

Chances are you’ve seen at least one anime show ever, read a manga at least once, or had an otaku friend.

If so, you may have developed a crush on an anime character. I mean, how can you resist?! So without further ado, let’s check out the five anime gals most deserving of the “Soooo cute” award:

1) Relena Darlian (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing): Let’s see…blond hair, blue eyes, and... intelligence?! And, in addition to having beauty and brains, she’s passionate, emotional, and valorous. Yep, a beautiful girl with a mature mind and strong feelings. Yay!

2) Rika Nonaka (American name) / Ruki Makino (Japanese name) (Digimon Tamers): She kicks butt. She’s a redhead and a tough cookie, but behind her hard shell is a sweet and (somewhat) feminine girl. She's also smart and ice cold. She hates anything overtly emotional and soft. (I wonder if she hates Twilight?)

3) Sakura Haruno (Naruto): Naruto is the only female member of Team 7, and she has pink hair…who can’t dig that? Plus, she’s cute, she pwns big time, and she’s funny. Even with all that, she's (sorta) the stereotypical gal: lovely and cuddly.

4) Kaoru Kamiya (Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X): I love her ponytail. The fact that she is a master of Kendo makes her cool. And her personality is fitting: possessive and short tempered but independent, compassionate, courageous, feisty, and strong-willed. Me likes.

5) Winry Rockbell (Fullmetal Alchemist): Kind, optimistic, sincere, and beautiful. And blond. Well, at least she departs from the stereotype. Besides, for me she’s actually relevant in the series, and not just as a love interest for the main characters. Win/win.
