People have to get around, and not all of us have cars (especially those of us who live in a city).
For people-watchers, public transport is a blessing in disguise. And no matter where you go, there are some stock characters you might run into—on the L.A. bus line, in the New York subway, or in a London Tube car. Here are a few:
- The Really Smelly Guy
- The Woman With Giant Glasses and Way too Many Bags
- The Little Kid Who Just Can't Sit Still and Has to Talk to Everybody
- The Businessman Who Yells Into His BlueTooth
- Four Really Loud Girls with Coach Bags
- The Man Who Mumbles to Himself the Entire Ride
- The Old Woman Who Is Angry No Matter What You Do or Say and Even If You Make Room for Her to Sit Down She's Still Angry
- The Creepy Greasy Guy in the Secondhand Army Jacket Who Won't Stop Staring at You
- The Toddler Who Is Constantly Screaming and Crying and the Mother Who Keeps Telling the Toddler To "Shut Up Right Now" to No Avail
- The Guys Who Have the Same Clothes and Haircuts and Only Call Each Other "Bro"
- The Couple That Is Sitting Together Even Though They Were Clearly Having a Very Intense Argument Just a Minute Ago
- The Guy Who Tries to Sneak Aboard and When the Driver Calls Him on It He Asks Everybody On Board For Change
- The Woman Who Is Intensely Reading a Risque Romance Novel
- The Couple That is Probably Too Young to be Parents But Are Pushing Two Strollers that Take Up the Entire Aisle
- The Guy Who Never Makes It Aboard, Because He Was a Few Seconds Too Late, And He Runs After the Vehicle, Waving His Arms Frantically, To No Avail
- The Young Man With Scary Bandages and a Sullen Expression
- The Chatty Guy Who's Just on the Bus so He Can Talk to the Bus Driver
