Give Us More Animals!

Last night was the Superbowl, and no matter what team you rooted for, you probably joined the rest of America in giving the commercials a thumbs down. If the highlight is a 30 second spot about Googling, it’s safe to say advertisers weren’t really trying this year.

Sure, we saw Betty White get tackled, watched Oprah mediate a party with Jay and Dave, and even saw Megan Fox turn some gay guys straight (because THAT'S realistic). But here’s what we really wanted to see during the Superbowl commercial breaks: animals. Give us more animals! Everyone knows that the best commercials always feature animals doing something funny. Why do you think Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl pulls in millions of viewers every year [ed note: our brother's girlfriend knows the Puppy Bowl ref!!]? We’ve compiled a list of our favorite online videos of pets, pups, and furry friends in the hope Superbowl advertisers will take a hint for next year.

This man calls his cat Steve McQueen; we call him awesome.

NY Lottery's Sleepytime
Obviously this is a real commercial. It's also too cute to not watch a million times. They redefined pigs in a blanket.

Stalking Cat
Another bad-a cat doing what he does best—going full ninja.

Chickens Break Up Rabbit Fight
We definitely don't advocate animal fights, so it's good to see to chickens supporting the cause for peace in the animal kingdom. You can almost hear them ordering the rabbits to apologize to each other.
