The only thing more entertaining than watching one-off hilarious moments on YouTube is watching hilarious YouTube series. These consist of a number of episodes that can keep you happy for what seems like minutes, but turns out to be hours! Here are some favorites:
Kelly
Many of you will know Kelly's songs, or at least be familiar with them: Shoes, Let Me Borrow that Top, and so on. Liam, who plays Kelly and the other characters, makes the series. He also has various other Youtube hits. He does an amazing job of playing the bad-mouthed, slightly demented "betch." We thank you, Liam!
Catface
"Catface/He’s got a big cat face/He’s got the body of a cat and the face of a cat"...such an amusing theme tune is the prelude to nothing short of comedic genius. I found out about this series from my sister, sparkler little_noob (who, despite being infuriating, has rather excellent taste), and I have not been able to stop singing the theme song since. Silly Catface!
AVPM
As any true Sparkler knows, AVPM stands for "A Very Potter Musical" and was Awesome Thing of the Week at one point—and with good reason! The talent, hilarity, and utter genius shown by these University of Michigan students completely surpasses expectations and satisfies the Harry Potter craving that unites most nerds.
Potter Puppet Pals
Another Potter-related series (we just can’t get enough!), Potter Puppet Pals tell amusing stories and sing random, hilarious songs, such as "Mysterious Ticking Noise." It's full of puppetry and sometimes animation. The exaggerated voices and sometimes slightly disturbing behavior of these characters is what make them internationally loved, respected, and sometimes even idolized! I can safely say, I am potty for Potter Puppet Pals!!!
COMING SOOOOOON………………
AVPS
Yes, guys, that’s right. From the people who brought you A Very Potter Musical comes… A Very Potter Sequel!!!! Yaaaaay! Coming to a YouTube near you over the summer 2010, this will no doubt be comedy gold. I am so excited I think I may go do a little dance! Eeep!!!!
The Spark
Some of us Sparklers (myself, peaceonearth34, rebel_of_nowhere, houseobsessed14, zella435, and sciencenerdess94) have decided to set up our own YouTube channel called The Spark. It will have various nerdy, SparkLifey videos and we hope you will enjoy it, so keep a lookout!
