What To Do While You're Waiting for the Call

We all know that inevitable moment—you’ve given him or her your number… and now you have to wait for the call.

Oh the excruciating agony of it all! Will your dream SO call now? Now? NOW?! You’re in a panic, you can’t focus, and most importantly, if you don’t collect your wits, you’re going to sound all breathless and squeaky when he/she finally does call. So calm down, cool your jets—here’s a list of things to do while you’re waiting:

1. Practice how you’re going to answer the phone. "Hello. Hi. Hey. Hiya. Buenos dias."

2. Come up of with a list of witty things to discuss, should the conversation get boring. Some ideas: what teachers do when they’re not at school, food you could eat 100 days in a row, what would happen if animals ruled the world.

3. Make sure the ringer on your phone is loud enough.

4. Give the person a custom ringtone so you can start preparing on first ring.

5. Have a friend test call you just to make sure your phone is working properly.

6. Practice writing your name with his/her last name. (This goes for girls or guys. It's 2010, people!)

7. Come up with a list of kids' names your think your dreamboat might like.

8. Lay out outfit options for your first date.

9. Lay out outfit options for your second date.

10. Lay out outfit options for your third date.

11. Practice your “cute” laugh—hahaha, wink, and smile.

12. It’s never too early to start thinking about gifts, so go ahead and come up with a list of affordable and appropriate birthday/Christmas/Channukah/1 month anniversary gifts.

13. Write him/her a love song. Who doesn’t love a love song?
