We think 2010 will be a great year for movies. Here are the 10 we're most excited to see:
10. Alice in Wonderland
The first trailer did nothing for us. But the second one looks pretty great, and reveals more information about the plot. (It seems as though Tim Burton is telling his own story instead of just rehashing Lewis Carroll's books.) But Helena Bonham Carter's head is still freaking us out.
9. Toy Story 3
We're a bit nervous about this one, since the first two Toy Story films were perfect. We hope TS3 doesn't drop the ball and turn into something like Shrek 3: Everyone Farts, or whatever that awful movie was called.
8. The Wolfman
Could be awesome. Could be crap. But might be worth checking out if only for Benicio Del Toro's crazy facial expressions.
7. Frozen
It's a premise that makes you smack your head and say, "Why didn't I think of that?" Three friends are stranded on a ski lift for a bitterly cold weekend. Will they survive? Should they jump for it? It's enough to make us give up skiing, and going outdoors, forever.
6. The Runaways
Kirsten Stewart and Dakota Fanning (who somehow grew up) star in this movie about rocker Jon Jett and The Runaways. Rock star biopics are usually pretty much the same, but we're curious to see how Stewart handles the role. And if nothing else, the soundtrack will be great.
7. Inception
While we wish Christopher Nolan had spent his time making the third Batman movie, his next project looks mind-bendingly great, with Leonardo DiCaprio using his brain to—well, we're not sure what this movie is about. But things are all twisty. Hooray for twisty things!
4. Hot Tub Time Machine
Because we've always wanted to own a ticket stub that read, "Hot Tub Time Machine."
3. Robin Hood
There have been hundreds of versions of this story. But none staring Russell Crowe and directed by Ridley Scott. Until now!
2. Tooth Fairy
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays the Tooth Fairy in what looks to be an Oscar-contending role. Just kidding. This movie looks horrible. People who see this movie should be given a prize.
1. Iron Man 2
OMG! Did you see that guy with the electric whips? That's crazy! Is it May 7th yet?
Which movies are you excited about?
