Merry Christmas, Sparklers!

So far today, your editors have:

-- Checked to see if Santa ate the cookies (we are in our 20s)

-- Forced our siblings to pose for present-opening candid shots, ignoring sibling cries of, "I haven't showered and I have pillow creases on my face! I HATE YOU!"

-- Watched our dog joyously open presents (He can really do it! He totally gets what's happening)

-- Given our cat, Mr. Eddie Rochester, his present (high-grade catnip)

-- Eaten candy cane after candy cane

-- Taken two Advil to alleviate the aftereffects of last night's annual Christmas Eve all-hors d'oeuvres festival/Motown dance party

-- Fashioned a headband from discarded ribbon

-- Marked the 48th consecutive hour of sweatpants-wearing

-- Smelled the pages of our new books (why are you looking at us like that?)

-- Texted "merry xmas!!!!" to everyone we know

-- Tried not to check our Facebook, because it's creepy to check FB on Christmas, right? Or maybe it's not that bad...um...be right back *runs away to log onto Facebook*

-- Consumed so much eggnog, salami, cheese, blueberry pancakes, and chocolate coins that we're feeling a little barfy, actually

-- Fought with our sister over who gets to hang the "ruby slipper" on the tree, once again forgetting that there are two of them

-- Argued with our dad about whether the music in A Charlie Brown Christmas special is "really depressing" or "the best music ever in the whole world ever!!!"

-- Cried in "our room," which is pastel pink and shaped like a dollhouse

-- Opened yet another sweater in a size XL (we are a size S, btw)

-- Sat down to a meal of ham, and reminded our shocked parents that we haven't eaten pork since we were 8
