Stuff to Do on a Snow Day
YES! School is canceled because of snow! After you finish happy dancing in your PJs you’re totally going to…um, well, what? Your friends are trapped at their houses, your younger siblings are out playing in the snow, and apparently The Tyra Show and Everybody Loves Raymond are the only two shows on during the day. What to do? We have three suggestions. Photoshop...manually: You probably have all of your pictures saved on your computer or uploaded to your Facebook, but there's something special about the lost art of scrapbooking. Print a few pics of you and your friends, then go to a weird D&D website and print some dragon bods and fairy wings. Not only will you become famous among your peers for making the first funny scrapbook in your friend group, but snipping up pics will trigger memories of happier, warmer times.
Work out: With the chilly weather and snow on the ground, you’re probably not as active as you were just a few months ago. Make up for any missed muscle time by working out inside. Literally "running the vacuum" will probably make your dog totally lose it, but there are videos online and free programs through On Demand that don’t require any equipment. Watch out though; Jillian Michaels will seriously kick your butt!
Betty Crocker for the day: Google up some recipes that use ingredients you already have in the house—don’t forget to check the freezer for anything cookable—and put together a feast for your folks. It’ll be useful and yummy. Who can argue with that combination?
Still bored? Sorry. We can’t really help you…we’re busy watch The Tyra Show. What? We love her—she’s fierce!
Any other snow day ideas?
