This week marked the final episode in 2009 of the new musical comedy Glee. Sadly, and rather obnoxiously, the show won't be on again till April, but at least the hiatus gives skeptics time to catch up on past episodes and become Gleeks like us.
Here's why we love Glee!:
-- The Acafellas
-- The look on Finn's face when he gets uncomfortable
-- It was created by two of the same guys who created the uber creepy show Nip/Tuck. Glee gets weird points for that.
-- Terri's "craft room"
-- Terri's high-pitched yet strangely soothing voice
-- Okay, there's a treadmill in Rachel's bedroom
-- The mattress commercial
-- Tina's punky makeup
-- That old scraggly guy who plays piano
-- The fact that when you think hard about anything on the show, it makes no sense
-- Kurt's wardrobe
-- Emma's wardrobe
-- Mercedes' sassiness
-- Mercedes' voice
-- Rachel's voice
-- Watching Emma clean grapes
-- Finn's green vest (Got a pic of it? Send it to contribute@sparknotes.com!)
-- Quinn's fascinating and horrifying fake eyelashes
-- The clever, hilarious writing that always catches us off guard (Brittany: "Ms. Pilsbury is who they made me talk to when I kept that bird in my locker." What, Brittany?!?!)
-- Ken Tanaka is a beautiful mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in short shorts and ill-fitting polos
-- All problems can be solved by singing.
-- Pregnant people don't get (significant) baby bumps
-- Artie is breathtakingly adorable and would make the perfect first boyfriend.
-- Puck, the mischievous misfit who creates chaos among young lovers...sound like anyone else you know?
-- Puck, for the mohawk.
-- Puck, so hot my heart hurts.
-- OMG we can't believe we almost forgot this
-- That one really dramatic scene between Terri and Will, where Will cried.
-- Kurt's dad, mostly because in the 90s, the actor who plays him hosted a kids version of American Gladiators called Guts that we aspired to be on (once we met the age requirement)
-- The fantasy-worthy Puck and Finn are both 27 in real life (bad for you, good for your editors!)
-- Hairography and booty dancing
-- Jane Lynch...sometimes.
-- Terri's sister Kendra, always.
-- Emma's wedding dress! (The second one.)
-- THE MUSIC!!!!!
What we want to see in the next mini season:
3. Eve's awesome paw tats! (Stop hiding 'em, Eve!)
2. The inside of Emma's apartment
1. A Ken Tanaka solo song
