Get Sacked

Get Sacked

By Emily Winter

Welcome to the world of SAT vocab novels, where reading is mandatory, treats are prohibited, and nobody leaves without putting in a good word about motifs or something French.

Just kidding!

Here's how this really works: Every Sunday we're going to post a chapter of a brand new book called Sacked in our test prep section. Why test prep? Because Sacked isn't just an amazing, fun read—it's also designed to smarten you up! The story is full of SAT vocab words, which are bolded, and defined at the bottom of each page.

Sacked is a novel that was specifically written for SparkNotes, so you can't find it in stores anywhere. The author is Emma Harrison, who also wrote our other popular SAT novels, Busted and S.C.A.M.

Sacked is about a high school senior, Drew, who's spent his life in the shadow of his brother, the starting quarterback. Now that his brother is gone, it should be Drew's time to shine on the football field. But just when things are looking good for Drew, he learns that a nearby public school has closed, and his school is taking on the students—including a star quarterback. DUN DUN DUNNNNN. (Hey, I haven't read the whole thing yet, either. That was genuine suspense there, Sparklers.)
