Share Your Nerd Culture, Sparklers!

We’ve tabulated your responses, Sparklers, and we’re happy to say that the vast majority of you agree that the Kingdom of Nerds shall inherit the Earth. What’s more, a lot of you are proud, Jedi-banner-waving nerds ready to declare your love of Harry Potter, Robotics Club, or Nerd Fighters (which didn’t turn out to be the underground boxing club we expected).

This past summer we all talked about our cultural roots. Here’s your chance to share your favorite nerd-passions! Are you a literary wiz, a champion LARPer, or a self-taught computer programmer? Have you memorized every Monte Python routine ever written? We want to hear what hobbies and talents make you want to say, “I’m a nerd and proud of it!”

To help get the ball rolling, I did a quick examination of my own life and discovered the following:

1. My favorite books are a fantasy series about people with talking animals for souls.

2. "A New Hope" is my favorite Star Wars movie, and I have at least 53 reasons for my choice.

3. I'm virtually unbeatable in Goldeneye and Scattergories (and I'm very, very proud of it).

4. I look like David Spade (pre "Joe Dirt").

Let's hear about your nerdiest traits, Sparklers!
