Leg Warmers, Invisibility Cloaks, and Claws

Leg Warmers, Invisibility Cloaks, and Claws

Harvard recently introduced plans for its own line of upscale menswear. The new "Harvard Yard" line will be preppy college chic—think tweed and elbow patches.

Here are some other famous schools we think worthy of fashion collections:

1.    Hogwarts
Hogwear (pretty nifty name, if we do say so ourselves) would include everything from casual scarves to sporty invisibility capes. Real trendsetters would wear an item from the Gryffindor evening line at prom. A burlap Hagrid tux with vulture feathers on the collar would be perfect for winter. And the eyeglasses line alone could bring in millions, as fashionistas everywhere would clamor for Harry Potter’s magical coke-bottle frames.

2.   Xavier Institute for Higher Learning
The new Xavier Institute would blend fashion and mutant technology into one fabulous clothing line. The Magneto coat would ensure you could always find a fork in the cafeteria. The Storm sunglasses would both block out the rays and create rain when you didn't feel like going to track practice. With retractable pens in place of claws, the Wolverine leather gloves would be both stylish and practical.

3.   The School from Fame
NYC’s High School for the Performing Arts was the setting for the show Fame, where any garment was acceptable as long as it allowed spur-of-the-moment dancing. With the new Fame line, legwarmers over spandex would finally get their much-deserved comeback, and neon headbands and lycra bodysuits would become mandatory PE uniforms. When you're wearing these hot new threads, they WILL remember your name! (FAME!)

4.   Bayside High
What guy wouldn’t want to rock the latest acid wash jeans from the AC Slater collection? And no girl could look bad in a tie-dyed crop-top and matching scrunchie from the Kelly Kapowski line. A collection of suits under a sister line called "Mr. Belding’s Closet" would cover the school-to-work transition, and matching beauty products including industrial strength Zach Attack hair gel and Screechalicious maximum curl mousse would help complete the Saved by the Bell look.
