We picked The Futureheads for this installment of "Band of the Week" for three reasons.
1. They were suggested by Sparkler radically_rachel. We tend to trust Sparkler music suggestions in general—but when we saw that radically_rachel's listed Sondre Lerche as her favorite band in her SparkNotes profile, we really knew we could rely on her recommendations. Lerche was this week's BOTW runnerup. (You'll probably be seeing him in a future installment.)
2. The Futureheads are very popular, to be sure. But more so overseas than in America. So if it's new to you, and it floats your musical boat, well, then we've still done our job here.
3. The video we picked is so infectious and catchy, it just might be the musical antidote for the back to school blahs. We prescribe three listens in a row at max volume.
