Using clever, esoteric methods to measure personality is all the rage right now (*cough*Facebook*cough). Which Muppet are you? Kermit, you say? I guess that means you’re responsible, nurturing, and reliable. Which cloud formation are you? A cumulonimbus—huh. You must be tall, dense, and stormy. Personally, we’ve had it with these things. So we decided to figure out the one sure-fire personality predictor, and lay this issue to rest once and for all. What did we come up with? Ice cream.
Yup, it's true. According to our vast experience (we're known by name at the local Baskin-Robbins), ice cream can be a strong indicator of personality. Depending on what flavor you choose, we're pretty sure we can describe you in detail. Don't believe us? Guess what, we're gonna prove our powers of prediction right here, right now.
Clear your mind. Picture a cool, glimmering bowl of dairy goodness, or a sugary cone topped with creamy cold perfection. Smell it. Feel the frost tickling your nose hairs. Sense the icy draft rising up to your chin and cheeks. Now, taste. What flavor just melted over your taste buds? Read on to find out what this says about you.
Chocolate: You're someone who's not afraid to go all out. If there's a costume party, you're dressing from head to toe (makeup and everything) as Beetlejuice. If you're playing a game of cards, it's more competitive than friendly, even if it is just Go Fish! We're not saying you're cutthroat, we're just saying that you're in it to win it, whatever the situation. Oh yeah, and you like to laugh. A lot. You will always choose Pineapple Express over that boring button movie.
Vanilla: You don't mind a crowd, which is a good thing, since plenty of other people share your love of vanilla (it happens to be the most popular flavor, preferred by 29% of ice cream eaters). You're a classic, someone who likes clothes that are simple but look good year after year, no matter the occasion; you're a nice white v-neck t-shirt and an awesome pair of jeans. You like the books that you read in English class and enjoy the chapter-by-chapter discussion. You even appreciate Lord of the Flies. And when it comes to the weekend, you prefer a nice long hike, or something similarly outdoorsy that allows you to think about the larger questions in life. Some people might call you philosophical.
Rocky Road: Your parents describe you as someone who has a hard time making decisions, but we know better. It's not that you can't choose, it's that you don't want to. Instead, you try to do a little bit of everything. You play a different sport every season, and if someone dares you to try clogging, you'll readily accept the challenge. Your boundaries are limitless. Classic rock music? You can dig it. Soul, electronic, country, pop, hip-hop, metal—yup, you'll listen to all of 'em. And you'll probably triple-major in college in some weird math/religious studies/ethnomusicology combo. Why make a choice when you can do it all?
Butter Pecan: All right, so you're sophisticated for your age. Congratulations. While you delicately eat your ice cream cone with a spoon, could you please also enlighten us about your favorite piano etudes?
Mint Chocolate Chip: You're the type of person who gets along with everyone. You make waiting in line at the theme park more fun than the actual ride. Remember when you acted out Macbeth with sock puppets to help your friends study for the final exam? That was just one of the many times you've used your creativity to liven up a boring situation. But even though you like to have a good time, you're also someone who will help your best friend find the perfect outfit for her first date, patiently giving your opinion as she tries on (and retries on) everything in her closet. Yeah, basically you're a cool person to hang with.
