Sure, summer might be dull, but there's a million places Sparkler Layysz would rather be than back at school. Enjoy! —SparkNotes Editors
Now that school's finally out, there's a new problem: boredom. It seems almost impossible to remember how much we hated school, and how much we didn't care about "important" stuff we learned, like how many feet it snowed in the storm of 1729, or the names of all the Ancient Inca weird polytheistic sun gods.
But anytime you start thinking you'd rather be in class than bored at home, read the following list. I made it during those miserable last days of school, and it's called my PIRB list—Places I'd Rather Be.
1. Popping boils on my skin in ancient Europe, dying from the Black Plague.
2. Splatter painting the Great Wall of China with mini-markers.
3. Cleaning the roof of the Taj Mahal with a toothbrush and those mini travel size bottles of hand sanitizer.
4. Watching paint dry with Andy Warhol.
5. Leading a church reformation.
6. Filming a video about the captivating process of leading a church reformation.
7. Discussing forms of propaganda with a pig who wants to take over the world.
8. Counting every cell in the world.
9. In a wardrobe with fellow Narnians.
10. Making the world's most intricate toothpick bridge.
11. Testing out "easy" buttons at a Staples factory.
12. In Ancient Rome assassinating Julius Caesar myself, quite un-magnificently, mind you, to make sure that some wisea** doesn't write a five act play about it and make innocent children throughout the world have to study it. (Can you guess what class I was in when I thought of this one?!)
13. At a Hannah Montana concert. *sigh* (See what learning about the origin of the word "defenestrate" does to you?)
14. On top of a rainbow attending a Care Bear convention.
School, home, breakdancing in Panama? Where would you rather be?
