King of Pop, You Will Be Missed

King of Pop, You Will Be Missed

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last 24 hours, you know that the world has lost a light. At 1:07 pm Pacific Time, following a heart attack, Michael Jackson left us for the big Neverland Ranch in the sky. Before the YouTube servers come crashing down due to all the requests for "King of Pop," SparkLife would like to remember the man who inspired us all (even Filipino convicts), with our favorite MJ moments:

The "Thriller" dance. Who else but MJ could make zombies sexy?

The Moon Walk. Take that, Neil Armstrong. One small step for Michael, one giant leap for coolness.

The  "Bad" video. Can you imagine if your arms sounded like cracking whips? And only Jacko's sweet whisper of a man-boy voice could make "Who's bad?" sound downright badass.

The "Black or White" video. This video makes absolutely no sense (Norm + African tribal dancers + Russian squat dancers + explosions + rapping children = ???????), yet we adore it. In fact, we can't decide what we love most about it: pre-puberty Macaulay Culkin or the morphing faces.

The light-up dance floor in the "Billie Jean" video. Take that, John Travolta.

The sweet visual effects in "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough." No, you are not on a bad acid trip. Michael Jackson is just that cool. He literally controls the elements with his dance moves. Stars? Check. Crystals? Check. Water vapor? Check. Bubbles? Check. Take that, Moses.

This little known gem. He has got some serious height with that 'fro.

And, of course, the place where it all began. He can read, he can write, he can do arithmetic, and he can dance. How frikkin' cute was he?

We know there are accusations jokes to be made, but this is a time for remembrance. So beat it, Wacko Jacko detractors. Michael, you were too much for this world. You will be missed.

Comment with your condolences, memories, favorite MJ songs.
